In An Emergency
In common with all veterinary practices we are responsible for providing our clients with a 24 hour emergency service 365 days a year. We undertake our own emergency work and so you will be seen by a member of the practice with full access to your records. You may be required to take your pet to the other branch of Drybridge Veterinary Clinic in order for the duty vet to deal with you promptly. The duty vet can call on nursing assistance for more complicated procedures when necessary.
If you need to contact the emergency vet out of hours then phone the usual surgery number and our answering service will contact us with your details. We will phone you back as soon as possible to assess the situation and decide if your animal needs to be seen. Please note that there may be a short delay if the vet is already on a call or seeing another case. Out of hours consultations and visits are subject to an additional fee.
Hospitalised patients are monitored as necessary by the duty vet, the frequency of checks depending on the individual case and its condition.
If you are not a registered client you should contact your own veterinary surgeon who will provide out of hours cover. In a genuine emergency we will see you if we are able to do so, however, you must be prepared to pay for our service at the time of treatment.
